Two Houses Of Yisr'el

The Lost Ten Tribes: The Original Settlers of the New World? Hour 1 - September 1, 2008
Historians and Biblical scholars say that King Solomon had a sophisticated navy which voyaged the world in exploration, looking for iron, gold and other materials to build the Holy Temple. Many shipping ports, settlements and colonies were established in places all over the Mediterranean and North African region, as well as Europe and the Americas. Did some of the 10 tribes of the Northern Kingdom escape on ships to distant lands to escape the Assyrian onslaught and subsequent exile? Historian Steve Collins talks about where some of these tribes may have migrated to, including the New World, long before Columbus discovered America!

Are The Ten Northern Tribes Of The Nation Yisr’el/Israel Really Lost?

This website is dedicated to the purpose of sharing basic information about the Scriptural history of the two houses of the nation Yisr’el/Israel. On this site we present an accumulation of relevant writings and teachings about the two houses of Yisr’el/Israel, which are Yahudah/Judah (the two tribes) and ‘Ephraim/the returning house of Yosef/Joseph (the ten tribes).

The Scriptures, which are the Torah of Moses, the Prophets, and the Writings, teach us about the two houses of Yisr’el. The Br’it Chadashah “fresh new covenant” likewise shows us about the two houses of Yisr’el, which are Yahudah and ‘Ephraim, inasmuch as the writings of “fresh new covenant” must be in agreement with the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings of the original covenant. We see this need for agreement in 2 Timothy 3:16.

Devarim/Deuteronomy 4:1-2; “And now O Yisr’el, listen to the statutes/laws and ordinances/right-rulings which I am teaching to you to do, so that you live, and shall go in and possess the land which Yehowah ‘Elohay/Mighty One of your fathers is giving you.”

“Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of Yehowah ‘Elohaychem/Your Mighty One, which I am commanding you.” Yehowah is pronounced as Yehowah or Yehowah.

Remember that I opened up this chapter of thought by showing you through the Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings (Tanakh), that the written Law of Moses was understood to be eternally valid, and it is to be obeyed by anyone claiming to have an association with Israel. For any who might say, “I believe in Yeshua” or “I do not believe in Yeshua, but I believe in the people and/or the land of Israel,” or “I am Jewish,” then keeping the written Law is not an option; it is a requirement. Why Another Website? Because Without The Basics – People Will Believe Anything!

The subject of the “lost ten tribes of Israel” is widely ignored by modern Christianity. Instead, Christianity subscribes to the practice of ‘Replacement Theology,’ which was developed in the early formative years of the Religion. While the Jews (descendants of the ancient Hebrew kingdom of Judah) are well known in history and modern society, most are taught and subsequently assume that the non-Jewish (and far more numerous) ten tribes of Israel became “lost” unable to be traced in history or even identified today. On the contrary, the ten tribes of Israel were never “lost” after their removal from the “Promised Land” into Asia. In the Scriptures, Yehowah the ‘Elohim sent a message to the ten tribes via the prophet YermiYahu/Jeremiah a century after Samaria fell (722 B.C.E.). Hoshea/Hosea records a prophecy that Yehowah the ‘Elohim would bless the ten tribes of Israel with unprecedented population growth after their expulsion from the Northern Samarian district of the nation Israel. Israel’s Exiled Sons

Perhaps it could be said that every generation of mankind has its religious movers and shakers, truth/seekers and those who abandon the truth for the sake of hanging onto “sacred cows” or perhaps for the sake of pleasing their peers; theological fanatics and fringe movements and of course, many middle-of-the road masses that simply do not know what to believe for whatever reason. Certainly, this generation proves to be no exception to the above, in that there is a current struggle going on that you may or may not be aware of between two religious groups with different opinions. This battle involves a fairly large number of Jewish “messianic” leaders (and the people sitting under these teachings) who have publicly denounced a fairly large number of Gentile leaders and their followers who strongly believe that they may be physical descendants of the exiled ten tribes of northern Israel, missing in the midst of a deep assimilation among the nations for the past 2,700 years (or thereabouts). This religious movement usually goes by the terminology of the “Ephraimites,” the “Returning House of Joseph,” or the “Two Houses.” (3)

Yisr’el - Yehowah’s First Born Son

We see that while the entire nation Yisr’el was being held as slaves in the land of Egypt, the nation was chosen by the Creator Yehowah to be His “First Born Son.”

Shemot/Exodus 33:16: “For how then shall it be known that I Moses have found favor in Your eyes, I and Your people, except You go with us? Then we shall be distinguished, I and Your people, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.”

The first-born Son of Yehowah is Yisr’el according to Shemot/Exodus 4:22-23; ‘Thus said Yehowah, “Yisr’el is My son, My first-born, so I say to you, let My son go to serve Me. But, if you Phar-oh refuse to let him go, I am killing your son, your first-born.’”

Yehowah the ‘Elohim delivered His chosen people out of Egypt on eagles’ wings unto the Sinai where He was about to renew His covenant with them. He directed Moses to deliver to them the commandments of teaching and the preliminaries of the Code of Law for the nation.

Yisr’el the nation, all twelve tribes, was declared to be Yehowah’s treasured possession before all nations, and accordingly they were to be a reign of priests and a set-apart nation unto Yehowah. Please see Shemot/Exodus 19:4-6. Thus the entire nation was to consist of priestly people, who were to execute the priestly duties before Yehowah. Was Yisr’el capable and fit for drawing close to Yehowah and being set-apart from other nations as Yehowah desired? Please see Bemidbar/Numbers 16:3-11. On one occasion they said, “Moses, you speak with us and we will hear and do, but let not Yehowah speak with us lest we die.” Please see Shemot/Exodus 20:18-20.

But Yet, A Greater Exodus Is Coming For The Nation Yisr’el/Israel

There is a greater return to Yehowah for the nation Yisr’el, even greater than the exodus from Egypt, which we now remember each year at Pesach/Passover.

YirmeYahu/Jeremiah 16:14-16; “Therefore see the days are coming,” declares Yehowah, “when it is no longer said, ‘Yehowah lives who brought up the children of Yisr’el from the land of Egypt,’ but Yehowah lives who brought up the children of Yisr’el from the land of the north and from the lands where He had driven them.’ For I shall bring them back into their land, which I gave to their fathers.’”

“See. I am sending for many fisherman,” declares Yehowah, “and they shall fish them. And after that I shall send for many hunters, and they shall hunt for them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.”

YirmeYahu/Jeremiah 30:3 “For look, the days are coming, declares Yehowah, when I will turn back the captivity of My people of the house of Yisr’el (Northern ten tribes) and the house of Yahudah (Southern two tribes), declares Yehowah, and I shall bring them back to the land that I gave to their fathers, and let them possess it.”

YirmeYahu/Jeremiah 50:4-6; “In those days and at that time,” declares Yehowah,
“the children of Yisr’el shall come, they and the children of Yahudah together,
weeping as they come, and seek Yehowah ‘Elohayhem/Their Mighty One.”

“They shall ask the way to Zion, their faces towards it, ‘Come and let us join
ourselves to Yehowah, in an everlasting covenant, never to be forgotten.’”

“My people have been wandering sheep. Their shepherds have led them astray,
turning them away on the mountains. They have gone from mountain to hill, for they have forgotten their resting place of shalom/peace.”

ZecharYah/Zechariah 12:10; “And I, Yehowah, shall pour on the house of David
and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of favor and prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him as one mourns
for his only son. And they shall be in bitterness over Him as a bitterness over the
first-born son.”
